Spend seven nights with us at the incomparable Hale Kai center on the South Kona coast of Hawaii’s Big Island. Picture a hand built Balinese-style masterpiece retreat center, set in a remote lush jungle paradise, right next to the ocean and one of my favorite swimming beaches and marine life habitats on the island.
My intention for the retreat is for us to drop into the spirit of fully and consciously living in and joyfully nourished by the magic of this wonderful place: its waters, air, sun, wildlife and Aloha spirit. We’ll let the place and practices steep us in vital energy (prana) and replenish our systems, soothe our spirits and rejuvenate us on the deepest level possible.
Most days, I’ll lead us in yoga twice daily, an active morning session (maybe even one ocean side) with a relaxing shorter afternoon or evening practice. Classes will include asana, breath work, meditation and relaxation.
During the day we will swim and snorkel among the tropical fish and other marine life in the warm, clear ocean waters and hang out in the comfortable hammocks, with time to read, write or nap. We’ll visit a local farmer’s market, check out the cultural and archeological history of the nearby “Place of Refuge.” We’ll share and enjoy beautiful, fresh, lovingly prepared meals or bring our delicious picnic lunches on an outing. We’ll have the option to go on a night dive with the mysterious manta rays, or kayak and snorkel in areas where dolphins frequently gather and play.
Price includes course tuition, lodging, all meals (except one) and transportation to and from airport and on all group outings. Airfare, equipment rentals (snorkels and kayaks) and fees for optional add-on trip fees are not included. Participants may hire a car for increased flexibility with daytime activities.
